A wisteria raceme

A raceme (I just learned the word for the cluster) of wisteria blossoms was knocked down as geesepalace was tying some strands to the pergola, so he gave it to me and I drew it. This drawing is same size as the raceme. The book is about 40 cm wide. We measured one raceme this morning and it was 98 cm long. I just did a web search and found out that this is Wisteria floribunda, a Japanese variety that has spectacular racemes up to 1 meter.

Thank you...this has been an amazing experience to witness the flowering of this extraordinary wisteria. One of the flower clusters reached 120 cm. I have been drawing it most days, and will post some more soon. I love your userpic.
