daily drawing

Yesterday I went to see Picasso: La Joie de Vivre (1945-48) at Palazzo Grassi. There were a few grisaille paintings from 1947 that seemed somewhat close in approach to a painting (1943) by Picasso in the permanent collection of the museum where I work, so I noted these. Today was consumed with shipping presents - two trips to the post office were involved. In the late afternoon I stopped in San Salvador to make a rapid drawing in the semi-darkness before continuing on to a talk titled What's the Point of Poetry?, at the Circolo Italo-Britannico.
