Daily drawing

This drawing is evidence of the perils of drawing with a fountain pen. It was made on Friday, December 15. I was waiting for the afternoon lectures to begin in the Celebrazione e Autocritica convegno, this day at Ca' Dolfin. The aula magna (great hall) has over-the-top 18th century decoration. Given the uncertainties of time available, I just did a study of the mirror frame at the front end of the room. My fountain pen made a huge blot, so I began again. I also made a start on a very complicated glass chandelier with sixteen branches just on the lower level. Then the lecture started.
