Here it is, at last. You can click on the photo to explore the details.
The engraving was unveiled at a beautiful reception at Terrace Hill on Saturday. Many friends, collectors, and supporters of the Terrace Hill Foundation attended the event. After remarks by Jackie Devine, executive director of the Foundation, and by Bob Josten, art patron, collector, and underwriter of the project, I gave a brief talk on the history of my picture-making at Terrace Hill over the years. Then we had an unveiling of the framed engraving, which was set up on an easel next to the two engraving of Terrace Hill that I made in 1979. People seemed to like the print very much, and many were sold, with the funds going to benefit Terrace Hill.

The reception featured a glorious assortment of drinks, pastries, trifle elegantly served in a gorgeous setting. Thanks to everyone who make the event beautiful and memorable.

I am so glad that you like it. It is such a relief to have it done, so I can move on.
15th-Jun-2008 02:02 am (UTC) - I love my engraving of Terrace Hill!
Picked up my newly framed engraving at Tandem Brick; TL brought hers in to be framed 10 minutes after I had arrived there on May 31! I love the frame because it sets off the engraving in just the right way. When you are back in DSM, I'll show you and hope you like it as much as I do. JC and I had dinner tonight; we drove downtown and the river is high and rapidly flowing; however it is receding according to forecasters and newsmedia. Even more devastating is the damage done in Cedar Rapids, Waterloo and IA City/Coralville. And many many other cities too. Plus I'm saddened by Tim Russert's untimely and sudden death.... so this message of joy about getting my newly framed PP/AW engraving also contains sad news of the current reality back here in IA and the US. Take care, MR
