paying a bill in Venice

The Fondaco dei Tedeschi was the German merchant community's base in Renaissance Venice. It is dear to Printpersons, because Albrecht Durer stayed here during his visit to Venice. The building now houses the central post office. The regular postal windows are on the ground floor, but if you need to pay a bill via conto corrente postale, that office is on the primo piano. I like having this kind of errand (in this case, I didn't even really resent paying the late fee for being 21 days late in paying the tax on our sandolo parking spot), because the view of the building is great at this level and it was an excuse to draw.
