Office in Padova with a view

A chilly morning, and a train journey through dense fog to Padova, where I traveled to attend a curatorial meeting. It took place in an office directly across the street from the park with the ruins of the Roman arena and the Capella degli Scrovegni, where Giotto painted his fresco cycle. While the person I was meeting with was taking a phone call, I glanced out the porthole window in his mansarda-level office and saw a perfect view of the chapel, the north side of its roof lightly dusted with snow. Well, it was a long phone call, so I drew my view of the chapel from above on my meeting notes while I was waiting.
