We are in Connecticut for Christmas. It was a bright day with deep snow on the ground. The house looks out onto pine trees along a fence, with a pasture beyond. After a breakfast of fresh-squeezed orange juice, coffee cake, scrambled eggs, bacon, coffee, we opened presents that came from Italy, England, Washington, DC, Iowa, Arkansas, and South Africa. Since I was the one with a computer, I kept track of gifts on a spreadsheet, while at the same time drawing this corner of the living room. The tiny live Christmas tree was a gift of A Time to Dance and Mr. P. at Thanksgiving. We decorated the tree with two strings of miniature lights house that we found after a long search at a big box store. My engraving, Endless Structure, is in the frame on the wall.
