On Sunday, I reached a point where I simply had to get outdoors after spending way too much time at the computer constructing accession forms for Max Ernst's Une Semaine de Bonte' for my museum's permanent collection. geesepalace was headed to the south lagoon to try to improve his alla vallesana rowing skills, so he took me to San Vio by boat. I crossed the Accademia bridge to Campo Santo Stefano, where I had hot chocolate with a serious amount of whipped cream, then walked to the Piazza. I stood under the scaffolding on the Correr facade to draw this view of the basilica.
