Today is the third anniversary of printperson's livejournal. Although I was planning to draw something to celebrate, I didn't get around to it. Instead, here are two recent drawings. (Left) while waiting to board a plane from London to Venice. (Right) studies of the Gothic spalliera of seating (for a monastic choir?) in the left transept of the Frari, but probably not made for its currently location. Each unit is made of two circles (sometimes a triangle). The designer clearly loved playing with numbers. The designs inscribed within each circle can be based on the numbers 6, 5, 4, or 3.
